URGENT NOTICE -- July 2012
In response to the termination of benefits letter you received from SuperMedia, our attorney, Curtis Kennedy, issued the following directive and request that you complete the attached form in objection and disagreement with everything that SuperMedia announced in the June 26, 2012, informational packet sent to retirees.
This situation is exactly what we predicted would happened as a result of Verizon's devious plan to expel the Class of 2,750 retirees from the corporation's retiree rolls. Indeed this is the primary reason we must see the Murphy vs. Verizon case obtain a successful conclusion.
We cannot accurately predict when Senior Judge A. Joe Fish of the Dallas federal court will make his rulings in the pending Murphy case, as he has no personal deadline. Certainly, we will send out a notice and explanation when his rulings are issued.
Meanwhile, each Verizon/SuperMedia retiree should COMPLETE THE OBJECTION FORM, SIGN AND MAIL A COPY TO BOTH SUPERMEDIA AND THE ASSOCIATION (addresses are on the form). Download the form by clicking here.
If you use the downloaded form, you do not need to complete and mail in the form that accompanied the letter that SuperMedia sent you on June 26, 2012. Send the downloaded form to the exact addresses shown on the attachment, not the address shown on SuperMedia's form sent to you on June 26, 2012.
EACH retiree should remain (or become) a member and be financially supportive of the Association of BellTel Retirees Inc. Please share this notice with retirees who you know are being affected and URGE them to join the Association of BellTel Retirees so we can continue the fight for YOU!
